Welcome to the New Jersey Postal History Society

For the last 50 years, the New Jersey Postal History Society has been devoted to the study and presentation of history as discovered through the mails originating in, and bound for, the state of New Jersey. The Society was founded in 1972 with the mission of promoting this study for philatelists of all backgrounds and experience levels. Anyone with an interest in postal history is invited to join us as we pursue this mission.

Our principal initiative is the publication of NJPH, the Society’s award-winning journal. NJPH is a leading outlet for philatelic research serving as a resource for collectors and historians around the globe. NJPH is available to members either in print or online. Each issue is 55-60 pages in length with color illustrations and articles on all areas of New Jersey postal history.

NJPHS also makes other resources available to collectors and historians. The Resources section of this website offers an extensive collection of New Jersey postal history covers, the NJPHS library of online and PDF articles and an array of philatelic links  that may pique your interest.

The Society meets annually at NOJEX. The show, in recent years, has been held at the Hilton Meadowlands Hilton Hotel in East Rutherford, NJ. The meeting brings together NJPHS members and other philatelists from across the country. It allows members to meet and discuss topics of common interest, and to enjoy presentations by various speakers. Show information is posted at NOJEX.org.

Please explore the website. We are confident that you will see many reasons to become a member of the New Jersey Postal History Society. When you are ready to join, membership is only $15.00 per year and provides access to all Journals and articles on-line, as well as other exclusive benefits you can read about here. We also offer you the opportunity to submit your research and writing to be considered for publication in NJPH.
